Diego Policarpo – COTR Avalanche

History was made by the COTR Avalanche on Saturday night with the men’s program winning their first ever PACWEST gold medal.  In their two postseason victories veteran Diego Policarpo was the focal point of the offence and ultimately would not be denied the Conference title.  In a five-set thriller in the semifinal Policarpo collected 19 kills, added two blocks and six digs. Then in the gold medal match, he put his team on his back and willed them to win collecting a match high 26 kills, then added eight digs and three block en route to being named tournament MVP.
