FRIDAY
VIU Mariners 91
Capilano Blues 87
The Mariners hold on to win their 12th game by shooting 42.5% from the field, led by Josh Ross and his 16 points and 12 boards. Jason Fortin hit for 18 points and 10 rebounds as all five starters scored in the double digits. The Mariners went to the free throw 37 times in the contest. The Blues were led by Martin Bogajev's game high 27 points and Brendan Bailey's 17. In all the Blues shot 39% in the loss.
Quest Kermodes 80
CBC Bearcats 64
A team is tough to beat when they shoot 49% from the field, which is what the Kermodes were able to do, on the road at CBC. Theo VandenEkart came off the bench and led all scorers with 18 points. Michael Zayas-Duran collected a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds and Dallas Searles scored 16. The Bearcats shot 37% despite turning the ball over 19 times. Umbori Watson led the Bearcats with 17 points and Mitch Krahn had 13 in a losing cause. Elijah Calhoun collected a game high 15 rebounds.

Camosun Chargers 69
Every Royal on the roster scored as they shot 53% from the field led by Ethan McKean's game high 22 points in their lopsided win. Dustin Popoff collected 16 points and Grant Campbell had 15 as the Royals defence forced 22 turnovers and scored 35 points off them. With the Chargers' starters ineffective the bench accounted for 45 of the 69 points they would score. The best starter was Ted Neilson and his team high 18 points. Evan Woodson had 14 and Ismail Abdulahi chipped in with 10 for a Chargers team that was three of 11 from downtown.

The battle of the birds turned out to be a lopsided affair as the Falcons shot 51% from the field in their road win. Drake Downer led all scorers with 25 points, followed up by Mitch Knippelberg's 16 and Gary Minhas' 14. The Eagles on the other hand saw Moeiz Athaya come off the bench for a team high 18 points and Spencer Maichin led the starters with 14. Overall the Eagles shot 36% from the field. They are still looking for their first win of the season.

The Mariners remain perfect with lucky win #13 after shooting 41% from the field. Josh Ross had yet another double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds. John Thompson also recorded a double-double with 25 points and 10 boards, but Bryson Cox led all scorers with 28 points. After shooing over 50% on Friday, the Royals were held to 31% on Saturday as they were led by Grant Campbell and his 16 points. During Popoff tallied 14 points and Ethan McKean had 13 in the loss.

The Chargers had a well balanced attack on Saturday, but AJ Beaudry stood out with his game high 29 points and 12 rebounds. As a team the Chargers whot 47.5% and 33% from the three-point line. Mathew Uduboker scored 11 and Ted Nielson was 5 of 9 from the field and collected 10 points. The Blues came off an emotional game on Friday had a letdown on Saturday shooting 37% from the field. Brendan Bailey led the way with 18 points and Reese Morris had 16.
Quest Kermodes 101
KPU Eagles 53
The Kermodes led from start to finish in the blowout, shooting 53%. Every player on the roster scored at least a point with Jomari Reyes coming off the bench for a game high 16 points. Dallas Searles collected 14 and Theo VandenEkart had 12 off the bench. In all they saw 58 points from their bench. For the Eagles, Greg Saourine came off the bench to collect a double-double of 10 and 10 as his club shot 32%.

CBC Bearcats 79
The Falcons completed a weekend road sweep after shooting 45% on Saturday at CBC. Ravi Basra was simply awesome with a triple-double of 23 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Drake Downer led all scorers with 24 points and 13 rebounds and Grant Galbraith dropped in 20. The Bearcats also saw a double-double from Elijah "Blu" Calhoun who led his club with 23 and 14. As a team they shot 37% but did hit seven-three pointers in a losing cause.
