Basketball Reveals Schedule

The PACWEST is ready to tip-off the 2025-2026 basketball season and is thrilled to announce the official schedule which opens Thursday October 16th.

Games are still subject to change, however the PACWEST is planning for a 24-game schedule that opens when the defending women’s national champion CBC Bearcats host the Langara Falcons once they raise their first ever basketball championship banner. Six of the seven basketball schools will see action on the first weekend of the season. Also, during Week 1 the VIU Mariners visit the Okanagan Coyotes, and the Douglas Royals entertain the Capilano Blues with the Camosun Chargers receiving a bye.

The 24-game regular season schedule concludes on Saturday February 21st, followed by a 12-day break for playoff bound schools. The Chargers will host the top six teams at the PACWEST championship tournament at Camosun College in Vicotria beginning on March 5, 2026, with the medal games set for March 7th. From there the top women’s team will make the long journey to Quebec playing at Dawson College for the CCAA national championship, while the men will stay close to home because the Mariners will host the tournament.

The defending PACWEST women’s champions, the Bearcats have retooled and will tip off the as the featured game on October 16th. The men’s PACWEST champion, Capilano Blues will need to wait until October 31st for their scheduled home opener and official banner raising when they welcome the Chargers to town.
