Men's Bronze Medal Match-Up

The men’s volleyball bronze medal match features the Avalanche and the Chargers on Saturday afternoon following their semi-final loss on Friday.

The top seeded Avalanche were upset by the fourth seeded Douglas Royals and find themselves in this bronze medal match for the third consecutive season.  They have won bronze the last two years.

The Chargers are in the bronze medal match following their four-set loss to the VIU Mariners and are in this contest for the first time since 2014 when oddly enough they faced the Avalanche and lost in five sets.  Since that loss they have won a PACWEST medal in eight straight seasons, six of which have been gold.

During the regular season they met four times with the Avalanche winning each match in three-straight sets.  They last saw each other on January 19-20 when the Chargers visited Cranbrook.
