The Camosun Chargers claimed a three-set sweep to move to the semis
The Camosun Chargers are back in the semi-finals after a three-set sweep of the CBC Bearcats in the men’s quarterfinal 25-23, 25-17, 25-14.
The Chargers finally had Eduardo Bida back in the line-up and it made a difference balancing out the offensive attack especially with a rookie setter in Lucas Maffia. The offence was led by Vitor Pereira with 11 kills and Bida also tallied 11 while Dale MacDonell recorded three very loud kills.
Friday afternoon the Chargers will face the Douglas Royals in a semi-final with a berth in the PACWEST gold medal match on the line.
The Bearcats season comes to close but they did show great promise with plenty of young talent. Rowen Brown was very good with five kills and Jackson Anderson added four.
Ryan Watters with head coach Charles Parkinson following the match.
