Semi-Final - Blues vs Mariners

The CCAA’s top ranked team the VIU Mariners will hit the floor for the first time at the PACWEST volleyball championship tonight at 6:00pm MST when they face the fifth seed Capilano Blues in a semi-final. The Mariners rolled through the regular season winning all but one match. They swept the Blues in four meetings only dropping one set. The Blues upset the fourth seeded UFV Cascades in yesterday’s quarterfinal in five exciting sets after falling behind 2-0. The winner of this match will move onto the gold medal match and will have an automatic berth into the CCAA national championship, while the loser will play for bronze. The women’s nationals are hosted by Niagara College in Ontario.
