The men’s bracket at the 2020 PACWEST championship opens Thursday afternoon with a 4-5 match up when the Chargers and Falcons battle for the second straight year in the quarterfinal.   Last year the Chargers moved on with a two point victory and went onto win bronze.  Oddly enough in 2018 these two met in the bronze medal game and the Falcons won by 11.

During the regular season the Chargers won all three meetings but by the slimiest of margins, winning games by two, three and six points.  Their last match-up was on January 18^th

The Chargers limp into the playoffs losing seven straight and are winless in February.  The Falcons meanwhile are also struggling winning just once in the last seven.  The winner moves onto face the top seeded Douglas Royals on Friday at 8:00pm in the semis.  The loser’s season is over.
