PACWEST Provincial Team Winners & All-Stars

For the second straight season the Camosun Chargers men’s golf team have been crowned the PACWEST champions.

This weekend at Morningstar Golf Course on Vancouver Island the Chargers combined to shoot a 588, eight strokes better than the UFV Cascades.  With that combined score the Chargers secured the title by 22 strokes.

As a team the Chargers won three of the four tournaments.

The PACWEST Men’s All-stars are:
James Casorso (Kelowna, BC) - UBC Okanagan
Halen Davis (Stanwood, WA) - University of the Fraser Valley
Dallas Jones (Ladysmith, BC) - Vancouver Island University
Matt Matheson (West Van., BC) - Camosun College
Jacob Vanderpas (Vancouver, BC) - Langara College    

PACWEST Men’s Player of the Year
Jacob Vanderpas (Vancouver, BC) - Langara College

On the women’s side the Cascades blew away the UBCO Heat by an incredible 59 strokes, winning all four tournaments.

The combination of Sharon Park, Hannah Dirksen and Jennifer Kell of the Cascades dominated all year as they finished 1, 2 and 3 on the leader board.

The CCAA Golf All-Canadians will be announced on Tuesday, October 18th at the CCAA All-Canadian Banquet at the Tourism & Culinary Centre, Holland College, P.E.I
