Russell Curley caught fire in the fourth quarter knocking down 16 points on the strength of four-three pointers. However, overall, Tyrone Asenoguan was simply outstanding finishing with a game high 29 points, also connecting on four-three pointers and was named the Player of the Game. Offensively the Coyotes had opportunities, but their shots just wouldn’t fall particularly in the second half. They finished shooting 44% led by Allan-Koe Mundu who had 21 points and Ajay Gill collected 17 and was named the Player of the Game. Hunter Hughes playing in his final PACWEST game was solid with 13 points and nine rebounds.
The Blues will now face the Camosun Chargers in a semi-final on Friday. It’s a rematch of last year’s semi that the Blues won as the third seed. The Coyotes have been eliminated from the playoffs.
