Camosun Chargers 3 – 20-25, 25-20, 25-15, 25-15
COTR Avalanche 1

The Chargers won their 15th match of the season despite dropping the first set at home. After that first set they bounced back quickly and didn’t give the Avalanche an opportunity to steal another one. Hannah May led the offensive attack with nine kills and Mika Yamada finished with eight. Setter Katie Wayling was excellent with 24 assists along with five digs and a kill.

The Avalanche conclude the regular season on the Island and now will prepare to host the PACWEST championship tournament which opens on Thursday February 21st. On Sunday the Avalanche played in their fourth match in four nights and struggled after winning the first set. Taylor Whittall had nine kills and eight digs while Mikaela Pushor finished with six kills and eight digs.

Next week the Avalanche (4-20) will have a bye week while the Chargers (15-7) will finish the regular season with the undefeated VIU Mariners (22-0) in a home and home.
