A great back and forth game to open the PACWEST season for both teams.

The scoreless tie was broken in the 24th minute when the Mariners’ Justine McMahon opened the scoring getting a ball past Blues’ netminder Brittney Roussy.

Just after halftime the Blues would tie the score when Arin McIldoon found the back of the net in the 50th minute.

Both Roussy and Mariners’ goalie Melanie Osborne had to be sharp. Roussy made 10 saves while Osborne push aside three.
