CBC Bearcats 88
The Chargers cracked for the 100 point plateau on Saturday after shooting 48.6% from the field. Shaquille Maharaj was excellent finishing with 20 points, six rebounds and had three steals. Atlas St. Paul-Butler was also solid with 16 points and nine boards.
The Bearcats kept it close after a terrific game from Trent Baker. He led all scorers with 29 points and had four assists. Michael Chifan was also good with 21 points.
VIU Mariners 95
Douglas Royals 90
The Mariners played a solid road game handing the Royals their first loss of the season. They shot 46.1% from the field and 47.6% from behind the arch. Cameron Gay had a strong performance with 25 points and Tyus Barfoot collected 21. The Mariners bench outscored the Royals 27-13.
Courtney Anderson led the Royals offensive attack with 20 points including three-three pointers. Cameron Morris chipped in with 15 points.
Sunday afternoon the Royals (7-1) will host the Mariners (6-1) again with tip off at 3:00pm. WATCH HERE
Okanagan Coyotes 88
Langara Falcons 85
The Coyotes earned a weekend split with the Falcons after a three point win on Saturday. Matt Lafontaine was a difference maker hitting six-three pointers and finished with a team high 32 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Seth Blundell chipped in with 17 points.
On the Falcons side Moeiz Athaya was outstanding scoring a game high 35 points and had six rebounds. Luka Lizdek finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
