The Blues played a gritty road game and left Langara with an 18 point victory. Their offence shot 41% from the field led by the 23 points of CJ Campbell. Guard Brendan Bailey added 17 and a pair of assists. In all six Blues hit double-digits and all but one player hit the scoresheet.
Four of the five Falcons’ starters hit double-digits led by Grant Galbraith’s game high 21 points and 13 rebounds. Moeiz Athaya scored 20 and had 10 rebounds and Tyler Anderson finished with 16 points and 11 boards.
Friday night the Blues (2-0) will welcome the VIU Mariners (2-0) and the Falcons (0-2) will visit the CBC Bearcats (0-2) on Thursday night.

A back and forth game that saw the Royals explode for a 24 point fourth quarter burst to beat the Bearcats on Saturday.
As a team the Royals shot 49% from the field and 41% from downtown. Josiah Mastandrea led his team with 27 points and nailed seven-three pointers. Dylan Kinley came off the benched and drained 21 points.
The Bearcats hung tough with the defending PACWEST champs as three of their five starters scored over 20 points. Braxton Latt scored a game high 28 points while Trent Baker and Gabe Mannes each scored 23.
The Royals (2-0) will welcome the Camosun Chargers (0-2) on Friday and the Bearcats (0-2) will host the Langara Falcons (0-2) on a special Thursday night.
VIU Mariners 103
Okanagan Coyotes 87
The Mariners came out of the gate flying with 25 points to set the pace. They finished the game shooting 56% with four of their five starters scoring double-digits. Harry Fayle was terrific with 35 points including six-threes. Both Cameron Gay and Brett Christensen each tallied 20 points.
The Coyotes also showed hot shooting from the field knocking down 53% of their shots. Matthew Lafontaine led his team with 20 points and Jesse Vissia came off the bench and scored 14.
Friday night the Mariners (2-0) will visit the Capilano Blues (2-0) and the Coyotes (1-1) will stop in Abbotsford to face the CBC Bearcats (0-2).
